I'm the COO Who Doesn't Reject Crazy Ideas, I Just Figure Out How to Make Them Real

Most people hear an ambitious idea and immediately think about why it won't work.

I hear it and start figuring out how it will.

That's been my edge for over 2 decades, from scaling a national meal delivery company 242% in two years to turning around a beloved chocolate company on the brink of bankruptcy in 14 months to fixing broken manufacturing facilities in 14 days.

Founders come to me with vision. I turn that vision into operational reality.

The Foundation

Where It Started: Lessons From Dad

I grew up in the Australian Outback, one of six kids raised on a single blue collar income. Money was tight, but my father had a philosophy that shaped everything I do today:

"Don't leave for tomorrow what can be done today."

He also taught me something else: "Take care of the pennies, and the dollars take care of themselves."

I watched him turn $700 a week into $1,000 worth of value, not through fancy strategies, but through precision, care, and relentless focus on the small things that add up.

That philosophy became my operational framework: take care of your people, your processes, and your pennies and profitability follows.

The Approach: Precision Meets Scale

The Chocolatier's Advantage

I'm a trained chocolatier. Making chocolate that snaps perfectly, melts smoothly, and has that glossy shine isn't magic, it's precision.

It's about time, temperature, and movement in the right order.

Get the sequence wrong, and you get a grainy, dull mess. Get it right, and you create something people love.

That's exactly how I approach operations.

I redesign systems from first principles, the right actions, in the right order, at the right time.

It's a formula for success. And like tempering chocolate, it requires precision at every step.

The All Hands Turnaround

The artisan chocolate company was hemorrhaging money because no one was paying attention. We were weeks from bankruptcy.

I called an all hands meeting and showed every employee, many who'd been there 20+ years, exactly where we stood financially.

They were horrified. "Are we going to lose our jobs?", "Yes," I told them. "Unless all of us fix this together." They asked what they could do. I gave them one simple question to ask themselves before spending company money.

"Can I wait one day and get by?" I asked them to do that for 7 days. If after 7 days the answer was still "I need it," then buy it. They did it.

The employees worked on micro spending habits. I tackled the big liabilities.

The result? We shaved over $1M in operating expenses in one year, just by asking one question consistently.

That's the power of precision at scale. Small habits, multiplied across an entire organization, create millions in capital preservation.

The Formula

Time + Temperature + Movement = Tempered Chocolate

Precision + Discipline + Action = Operational Excellence

I don't bring problems, I bring solutions. And I know exactly which steps, in which order, will get you there.

The Edge: Pattern Recognition Across Cultures and Industries

Why I See What Others Miss

I've worked in manufacturing facilities across Australia and the United States. I've traveled to more than 20 countries and built teams across 30+ languages.

I'm equally comfortable in a high tech food science lab and a non English speaking production floor. That ability to connect across cultures, industries, and environments gives me a unique advantage:

I see operational blind spots others miss.

When you've built systems in multiple contexts, you develop pattern recognition. I can pull a lesson from Frito-Lay's food science playbook and apply it to meal delivery. I can take supply chain strategies from Fortune 500s and adapt them for $15M founder led companies.

Innovation isn't about reinventing the wheel, it's about knowing which wheel fits your cart.

The Philosophy: Vision Into Action

Interpreting Vision Into Action

Founders are visionaries. They see what's possible. But vision without execution is just a dream.

My job is to bridge that gap.

A founder once wanted to reduce shipping costs, currently running next day air for everything. Instead of telling him to slow down, I converted 80% of recurring shipments to 2-day ground nationwide, saving ~$5.2M annually while maintaining service quality.

That savings fueled marketing and revenue generation.

I don't optimize for operations at the expense of growth. I synchronize operations with sales and marketing so every department over delivers on promises.

What Drives Me

I Love to Build

The best part of my day? Standing back and seeing the impact of what I built, or didn't build, and adjusting.

I'm energized by creation. Whether it's:

Redesigning a production line layout to increase productivity by 30%.

Crafting chocolate at home with the same precision I bring to operations.

Architecting cash flow systems that unlock trapped capital.

I'm only happy when I'm building something that wasn't there yesterday.

I optimize every operation for one outcome: building stable, valuable businesses that are ready to sell when you are.

Because a successful exit when your ready isn't just a payday, it's proof you built something worth buying.

What It's Like to Work With Me

Personable. Curious. Relentlessly Innovative.

I don't come in with a playbook and force fit your business into it.

I come in curious. I ask questions. I listen to your team, your customers, and your vision. Then I build systems tailored to your business, not a generic template.

Founders and CEOs tell me the same thing: "You don't say no to our crazy ideas, you just start figuring out the how."

That's exactly right.

I believe every ambitious idea deserves a shot. My job is to architect the execution so it actually works.

Let's Build Something Together

If you're a founder or company with vision but need someone to turn that vision into operational reality, let's talk.

I don't just optimize what exists, I build what's possible.
